Jasmine’s Bio

Ms Jasmine Ang is a Learning Specialist at Bootstrap. She graduated from NUS with a degree in Southeast Asian studies, and completed her independent studies research in Thammasat University, Thailand. While living in Bangkok, she volunteered at the Princess Siridhon Anthropology Centre where she assisted in organizing a biannual museum festival, and was immersed in the depth of Thai and Southeast Asian cultures. She also volunteered at the Thailand Association of the Blind, where she had the opportunity to learn from people who find the mental and emotional strength to achieve their goals despite the odds.

Jasmine believes that beauty is a culturally specific and socially defined concept that can be appropriated towards betterment. As a self-starter with a natural flair in design, she embarked on an early career designing clothes for children and started a business where she learnt the importance of giving customers what they want. She also represented Singapore at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games as a member of the National Women’s Basketball Team.

Jasmine completed her Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment in 2010.
